History: Born in Arizona, Lucas grew up on the Hopi reservation as part of a big family. He left when he was 18 to attend college at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, initially focusing his studies on psychology. Luke decided to move out of the dorms, and into off campus accommodation with his room-mate, and they moved into a neighborhood that was not exactly the best of places. It was in that neighborhood he witnessed a lot of things that bothered him; seeing dealers dealing drugs to kids, having kids attempt to sell him drugs, and then there was the kicker, something that reminded him of a tragedy that had touched his own family, the molestation of a child. He kept ending up in the recurrent nightmare of a little girl who had been molested. Then, one day he spotted the abuser from the dream on the street, and became obsessed with stopping him. Eventually he managed to catch him in the act, and reported him to the police, and the perpetrator was locked up. It wasn't an isolated incident. When he helped the police apprehend a second, and then a third criminal, someone from the police department asked him if he wanted to be a cop, and he realized that he did - that what he really wanted to do was stop the bad guys, so he changed his major to criminal justice. The FBI recruited him straight out of college, and the rest is history. He's moved around for the job a few times, been assigned to various different task forces. The latest of which is a recently set up task force located in Devil's Lake, designed to keep an eye on the supernatural community. Flaws: Enemies - Making dangerous enemies is a hazard of the job when it's your job to apprehend criminals. Reckless - With his own life. Sometimes he'll leap without looking - particularly when he's trying to protect someone else, or catch the bad guy - and while that selflessness is in a way admirable, it could also result in him getting killed. Responsible - To a fault. To put it simply, he takes on too much responsibility, sometimes even more than he can handle. When he does fall short of his own unreasonable expectations, he feels like a failure. Merits: Legal & Government ties - He works in law enforcement, so he's got justice system resources.
